A tattoo for One day or an evening is Ideal if when looking for a little eccentricity or a mysterious accessory. This tattoo can resist perspiration and friction from clothing. It starts very well!
The necessary equipment :
· Talc
· Lacquer
1 sheet of tracing paper
· 1 pencil
· 1 pair of scissors
· Alcohol modified at 70 °
· 1 cotton pad
· 1 damp sponge
· 1 eyeliner with a fine applicator
· 1 makeup brush
Our instructions for making a temporary tattoo
Step 1: we look for our model. Magazines, books, the internet ... For a first try, it is better to use simple lines and shapes. It can also be a word or calligraphy!
Step 2 : copy the drawing using tracing paper and pencil. The "full" parts are well colored.
Step 3 : choose a surface of the skin that is rather flat and not too thick (so as not to "sink in" when drawing) or too hairy (or else we epilate the area!): Inside of the arms, above the foot ... It will be easier to start. Then it's up to you when you get the hang of it!
Step 4: Make sure your skin is clean, without cream or other beauty products. To be on the safe side, clean it with 70 ° alcohol and the make-up removing the disc.

Step 5: moisten your skin by tapping with the sponge.
Step 6: lay the layer flat, the drawn side against your skin. The paper is lightly moistened again on the skin with the sponge.
Step 7 : gently remove the layer. The design has transferred and appears on the skin. It is not intense but enough to reproduce it!
Step 8 : we go over the lines with the eyeliner, we color the solid areas intensely ... When we have finished, we let dry for a few minutes.
Step 9 : we sprinkle over the layer that we then “dust off” using the makeup brush. It will absorb moisture!
Step 10 : fix with hairspray! It will waterproof the tattoo while restoring intensity to the color. Arf, is it leaking? The drawing was not yet very dry. Remove traces with nail polish remover, add more talcum powder and spray again with hairspray.
Wait a few minutes for the set to dry completely. What a beautiful jewel of skin you have there! Before going to bed, you can remove it with soap and water.
An ephemeral tattoo for about 3 days
Did you find the first tutorial very easy to do? You'll be happy: this temporary tattoo DIY is pretty much the same! In fact, it's all in the hardware.
· We prefer a waterproof eyeliner.
· We replace the hairspray with a liquid bandage (you know, the spray that we put on wounds to protect them)!
Then, to make it last as long as possible, we share a few tips with you:
· A little exfoliation of your skin before getting your tattoo. By being rid of its dead cells, it will be more adherent.
· Avoid places where the skin wrinkles when it moves (the neck for example).
· Also avoid areas that come in contact with soap and water more often: the wrists, just above the hands that you wash often, are not the best candidates!
· Finally, we avoid the parts of the body that sweat "faster". Under the armpits, at the level of the chest, it's pretty but at risk.
· And too much friction with the clothes!
Want to erase it? A stroke of nail polish remover and presto!
A temporary tattoo for up to 3 weeks
Up to 3 weeks! So there it gets serious. And if it lasts longer, this temporary tattoo also takes some preparation. So we do it two or three days before the event.
It is a tattoo tutorial based on henna, a skin product that not everyone supports in the same way. So we first check that we are not allergic: we test on a tiny area, and we wait at least a few hours. Everything is fine? Let's go!
You need with:
· Henna powder
· Juice of 1 lemon
· 1 piece of sugar
· 1 bowl and 1 spoon
· Clingfilm
· Crystal paper (florist type) or baking paper or disposable pastry nozzle or syringe bought in pharmacies!
· Scotch
· Bandage or toilet paper
Our steps:
· Melt the piece of sugar in the lemon juice.
· Pour the henna powder into a bowl.
· Gradually add the sweet lemon juice and mix gradually until you obtain a smooth and homogeneous paste.
· Cover the bowl with cling film. He must touch the dough to prevent it from drying in contact with air.
· # Let stand 24 hours.
· Make a cone with crystal or baking paper.
The idea: to have a tiny hole at the tip that allows you to apply the henna. A sort of funnel whose end is a few millimeters wide! Tape your cone, so it does not spread out. You can also use a plastic piping bag from which you barely cut the cone. Are you uncomfortable? Fall back on a syringe!
· Pour the paste inside your cone or syringe.
· Press so that the dough goes down well at the end. Close it with a knot or with a rubber band. You can hold it like a pen!
· Experiment on a piece of paper to get used to the flow. The thickness of the line depends of course on the orifice. If it's too thin, make it bigger!
· Draw your tattoo on your skin! You can take inspiration from steps 1 to 7 of the first tutorial if you are not sure of your talents as a “freehand” designer!
The dough is quite thick, that's normal! Once you are done:
· Leave to dry quietly in the open air (do not cover with clothing!) Until it forms a crust. It will take between 5 to 10 min. Now, if you have ½ hour in front of you, that's even better!
· Wrap your tattoo with a classic bandage (not the ones that compress!). You can also cover it with toilet paper and then wrap in cling film.
· Keep the bandage on for 6 to 12 hours (the longer the skin is in contact with the paste, the darker the tattoo will be). Do you have the night in front of you? Top!
· Remove the bandage and scrape the dried paste: you can help yourself with your fingernail, a file, a blade of a knife. It's about scraping without forcing.
· Avoid water in the hours that follow, but then you can clean your skin by avoiding soap for 24 hours. After this cat toilet, do not forget then and especially to hydrate!
The extra tip :
Does your tattoo look very orange to you? Rest assured, it will turn brown in the next 48 hours.
To remove the temporary tattoo, run under hot water and rub the area with a hair glove impregnated with a scrub shower gel. If any traces remain, you can remove them using:
· A mixture of oil and coarse salt
· Oxygenated water
· A paste made from lemon juice and baking soda
You see, no need to make a whole drawing of it: the ephemeral tattoo is simple and playful! Already tested? What motive could tempt you? Do we share our designs in the comments?
