'Baywatch', a comedy of sand
If in an examination you are ever asked the antonym of "television of prestige", the answer is Baywatch.
The series, broadcast by NBC in the 1990s and syndicated almost universally, left a rich legacy of safety for watercraft, neoprene suits and awareness about the use of sunscreen. In other news, Paramount premiered a movie called Bay Guardians, starring Dwayne Johnson, The Rock, in the role of beach hustler who created David Hasselhoff.
The film, directed by Seth Gordon ( Identity Thief, Horrible Bosses ), can be seen from different perspectives, especially the abdominal, pectoral and gluteal. If torsos and buttocks are not your things, you can also study other aspects of human anatomy. The arms and legs, for example. Although there are acres of meat in sight, most of them fairly well formed, there are very little real nudity and no sex.
However, they will witness some crude and suggestive visual jokes, as well as an overly long scene in a morgue dealing with the genitals of a dead man. These parts, along with the colorful rudeness of the script (written by Damian Shannon and Mark Swift), show the superficial changes made to the film to ensure a C rating, which at the moment is a mark of credibility in the world of comedy large screen.

But do not be confused: the fundamental DNA of the program remains intact. Guardians of the Bay is a mischievous film that can be enjoyed by the whole family, is a ridiculous and sincere plot, as silly as a sandbox. It's a creamy ice cream. Wavy fries. Rash and a fast car. It is vulgar, false, unpleasant and half amusing.
