Flatliners | Movie Trailer 2017

Flatliners (Mortal Line) is one of the classics in the horror genre of the nineties - but more for its visual impact than the plot - about five medical students in Chicago trying to discover that there is beyond death.

For which they do an experiment with the objective to have near experiences inducing death for a few minutes and then being resurrected. Those who go through the experiment begin to suffer a series of increasingly violent hallucinations. Screenwriter Peter Filardi was inspired by the case of a close friend who had surgery on anesthesia and experienced a near-death experience.

Released in 1990 for Halloween, the feature was directed by Joel Schumacher and starring Julia Roberts, Kevin Bacon and the protagonist, Kiefer Sutherland. The film received an Oscar nomination for best sound editing and over the years has become a cult movie for fans of the genre.

The sequel Mortal Line: Al Límite, whose plot does not seem to distance much from the original, will premiere on September 29 in the US and October 26 in our territory.

To discover what happens after death, five medical students embark on an experiment that is as daring as it is dangerous. On themselves, they voluntarily cause cardiac arrest for short periods in order to experience impending death experiences. By pushing the process farther and farther, they will have to face not only their share of shadow and their past but even more frightening, the paranormal phenomena related to the fact that they have returned from the beyond
