Pretty Little Liars takes us out of the heat at the dawn of its final series

Our pretty little liars will soon leave us, and the last broadcast episode does not really give a glimpse of a final worthy of the name. Warning, spoilers.

On Tuesday, June 13, the episode 18 "Choose or Lose" of Season 7B of Pretty Little Liars was broadcast. And precisely, the screenwriters should have "chosen" an original direction rather than "lose" us with seen and reviewed. Even if the series is more hate-watching than the guilty pleasure, one can not help hoping for a satisfactory conclusion. When you follow a show for several years, the least thing is to be entitled to a final series to the height.

But while the second half of Season 7 took a somewhat more interesting direction, the eighteenth episode ruined the few good things and risks that the showrunners had taken in the writing of this final chapter. Some characters are falsely deepened when others turn round in circles. And that's a shame.

Finally, a little action and depth for the character played by Lucy Hale! For some time, Aria had to deal with several problems. In the first place, his couple with Ezra, endangered by the unexpected return of his former love Nicole. So in full preparations for marriage, Aria proves that she has matured and that her reactions as a kid are far behind them. Taking a huge step back from the situation, she leaves Ezra to manage her trauma and return more invested than ever in the organization of marriage. Only, the pretty brunette has other cats to whip and imposes a certain distance.

She joined the team of the bad guy (AD) to recover her complaint about sexual harassment and misappropriation of a minor to her future husband, whom she had deposited at the time of the lychee but had not Never signed. She will then follow several instructions to the letter: to ransack the room of the baby prepared by Alison and Emily, to hide recordings of Mary Drake in the house of the Hastings ... In short, to destroy a little more the life of the liars. It will eventually recover the precious document, but its association with AD running short already in the eighteenth episode since it is surprised by her friends at a place of rendezvous given by the blackmailer, with the famous black hoodie (hooded With black hood).

This double game allowed the interpreter of Aria to finally propose something else, after several seasons of sulky pout and mortal boredom. It would have been interesting that this darker side is more exploited and that (why not?) One of the liars is really part of the dark side of the force, especially Aria, who was the first to release the "shhh" in the credits. Obviously, his girlfriends are ultra- venerated, especially Spencer, who swings a lightning: "You destroyed everything I had!" Rather funny, when we know that Spencer chained up the bullshit and that all the girls have multiplied the dirt to each other. Luckily for Lucy Hale, she soon leaves this hell and has already embarked on another serial adventure on The CW.
