Six Key Foods to Eliminate Toxins


Toxins are chemicals that produce undesirable effects in our body. But how do you know if you are being victimized? The nutritionist and health coach, Carla Zaplana, marks as main signs of this problem acne, fatigue, indigestion, fluid retention, and constipation. 

Did you know that most of the toxins in the body come from food? That's why Carla advises six foods to stop them.

1. Green leafy vegetables: rich in minerals and chlorophyll, help to purify the blood, lymphatic system and fat cells.

2. Beetroot: great purifier of the liver. It also provides iron, calcium, betaine, B vitamins and antioxidants.

3. The Apple is the most purifying fruit thanks to the combination of fiber and pectin (a soluble fiber that lowers bad cholesterol and regulates digestion). It also helps to get a greater feeling of satiety and thus avoid the uncomfortable hunger between hours.

4. The lemon: antioxidant par excellence, contains a lot of vitamin C. It also stimulates the gallbladder, cooperative in the liver and digestive functions.

5. Celery: anti-inflammatory and ... anti-cellulite! It also helps intestinal transit thanks to its high fiber content.

6. Artichokes: allied against fluid retention, in addition to stimulating the flow of bile.
Carla's advice to patients is to remove the main sources of toxins (additives, saturated fats, refined sugars, etc.) from the menu, replacing them with vegetables, probiotics, nuts and Organic food.
