Tubelight in 1962 tells the story of a man who believes in himself and in his love for his family. In a singular city in northern India, Laxman (Salman Khan) lives a quiet life with his younger brother Bharat (Sohail Khan ). 

Both are very close since they have no other family. Laxman is a humble boy with a naive way of perceiving the world around him. However, Bharat accustoms to protect him from the insensitivity of the people, thus tightens his bond of affection.

Laxman's world crumbles when tension on the Indo-China border breaks out and Bharat is recruited into the army. Bharat will be forced to leave Laxman helpless.The situation on the border gets worse and violence increases. That's when Laxman, worried about his brother, in a unique northern city of India, Laxman (Salman Khan) lives a quiet life with his little brother, Bharat (Sohail Khan).
