Tulip Fever | Movie Trailer 2017

Tulip Fever is an upcoming historical drama film by Hollywood. 

Flowers are more precious than diamonds! The purchase and sale of tulips flourish in Amsterdam in the early 17th century, and the wealthy merchant Cornelis Sandvoort (Christoph Waltz) is also active in this market. 

However, unlike many of his colleagues, his true passion is not the noble flower, but his wife Sophia (Alicia Vikander). After having engaged the young and extremely talented painter Jan Van Loos (Dane DeHaan) to make a portrait of Sophia, a dangerous affair begins between the artist and the merchant's wife.

The two lovers put their hopes in the most expensive tulip-wren, the Admiral Maria - with whom they want to get enough money for a crossing into the new world. Sophia Maagd Maria (Holliday Grainger) helps with a very risky plan.

Drama set in the seventeenth century in Holland, during a time where a single tulip bulb cost almost 10 times more than the average salary.

The film tells the story of aA married woman and her lover initially hired to paint her portrait, are engaged in selling tulip bulbs to collect enough money to flee. The older man who falls in love with a newly married young woman while painting the portrait he has been commissioned. Both will invest in the tulip business with the purpose of earning money that will help them create a future together.
